Frequently Asked Questions

  • Popular dates—especially weekends during wedding season—can book months in advance. We recommend reserving your booth as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

  • Your booking deposit is non-refundable, as it reserves your event date. If you need to cancel or reschedule, we'll do our best to accommodate your request based on availability. Full details can be found in our booking agreement.

  • If our schedule allows, we're happy to extend your rental. Additional time is billed at our hourly rate and is subject to availability.

  • Yes. HoldStill carries commercial liability insurance, and proof of insurance can be provided to your venue upon request.

  • Yes! Every HoldStill photo booth rental includes a friendly, professional attendant who will set up the booth, assist guests throughout your event, keep everything running smoothly, and ensure everyone has a great experience.

  • Not all packages include our signature photo magnets. We offer a variety of packages to suit different events and budgets, with magnets available as part of select packages or as an optional upgrade. We'll help you choose the option that's right for your event.

  • Absolutely. We can customize the entire experience to reflect your brand, including photo templates, welcome screens, digital galleries, and more. If you're planning a corporate event or brand activation, we'd be happy to create a custom experience tailored to your goals.

  • HoldStill is available for weddings, corporate events, holiday parties, galas, birthdays, graduations, fundraisers, school events, community festivals, and private celebrations. If you're bringing people together, we'd love to be part of it.

  • We recommend an area of approximately 8' × 8' with access to a standard power outlet. If your venue has space constraints, let us know—we're happy to recommend the best setup for your event.

  • We typically arrive 60–90 minutes before your rental begins to allow plenty of time for setup, testing, and ensuring everything is ready before your guests arrive.

  • Yes! HoldStill is based in Kingston, Ontario, and proudly serves surrounding communities. Travel outside our standard service area may be subject to a travel fee.

  • Yes, provided the booth is set up on a level surface in a covered area protected from rain, direct sunlight, and strong winds. If you're planning an outdoor event, we'll help determine the best location.

  • A standard electrical outlet is required for all booth rentals. Wi-Fi is not required for the booth to operate, though some sharing features may be limited without an internet connection.

  • Absolutely! Every event includes a professionally designed print layout that can be personalized with your names, event date, logo, colours, or branding to match your celebration.

  • Our booths are designed to capture groups of all sizes. Most sessions comfortably fit 2–8 guests, and with a little creativity, even larger groups can join the fun.

  • Yes! During your rental, guests are welcome to use the booth as many times as they'd like.
